Gov. Christie's Proposal Would Add More than $300M to N.J. Education BudgetFebruary 22, 2012
Gov. Chris Christie is putting money behind his promise to support New Jersey education. During his budget address Tuesday, he said he wants to increase funding for higher education by $108 million and by nearly $213 million for K-12 school districts. Christie also proposed $1 million for the new Governor’s Urban Scholarship Program for students in economically disadvantaged areas who are in the top 5 percent of their high school class.
