Legislative library stops scheduled

Legislators in the 14th District will embark on a series of 16 outreach meetings at municipal libraries throughout the summer.

Sen. Linda Greenstein, D-Plainsboro, and Assemblymen Wayne DeAngelo and Daniel Benson, both D-Hamilton, and their staff will participate, meeting with constituents to discuss such topics as property tax relief for seniors and other assistance programs.

Dates, among others, include:

  • Today at the Hamilton Township Free Public Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday at the Cranbury Public Library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • July 19 at the Monroe Public Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • July 21 at the Plainsboro Public Library from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Holt to hold telephone town hall meeting

U.S. Rep. Rush Holt, D-Hopewell, will take calls at a telephone town hall meeting with 12th District constituents tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Holt will take questions about issues including Medicare, education and job creation.

Thousands of 12th District residents will receive calls at 7:30 p.m. inviting them to participate in the town hall. Residents wishing to make sure they receive a call can register at Holt’s website, holt.house.gov/ or by calling his office at 1-87-RUSHHOLT.
